The House
Perched above the bay of Vathy, Melantha enjoys commanding views across the Aegean towards neighbouring islands while remaining within walking distance of the beach, tavernas, and waterfront life below.
Spread across three separate houses and surrounded by a landscape of olive, fig, almond, carob, and wild pear trees, the property feels more like a small private hamlet than a single villa. Built on a plateau of 5,600m², it enjoys a remarkable sense of space and openness, with views extending in every direction towards sea and mountains alike.
At the centre of the estate, a landscaped courtyard and saltwater swimming pool create a natural gathering place for guests. The accommodation is thoughtfully distributed between the main residence, a guest house, and a family guest house, allowing larger groups to spend time together while enjoying their own privacy.
Large windows frame the landscape throughout the day, while natural materials including local Sifnian stone and Cretan marble create a house that feels deeply connected to its surroundings.
What we love most about Melantha is its relationship with the landscape. Ancient footpaths, mature gardens, open horizons, and the changing light of the Aegean create a setting that feels unmistakably Sifnian.

Ideal for families and groups of friends who enjoy being able to walk to the beach, tavernas, and local life rather than relying entirely on a vehicle.
A scenic footpath leads down to Vathy and is easy to enjoy in the morning or late afternoon. During the heat of the day, however, the uphill return can feel demanding for less experienced walkers.
The final section of road approaching the property is uneven and an SUV is strongly recommended.
What we love most about Melantha is the combination of sunset views, mature gardens, and the ability to reach one of Sifnos' most beloved bays on foot.
